German Solar Award 2011 – renewed success for Grammer Solar

Thanks to the solar technology by Grammer Solar, the first prize of the German Solar Award goes to the city of Eschborn

With the new building of the local service center, the city of Eschborn sets new standards in terms of energy efficiency and environmental technology. For that performance, the municipality has been honored with the first German Solar Award. One part of the overall energy concept is a multifunctional PV system by Grammer Solar. It does not only ensure efficient energy supply but also offers safety in case of weather and light, thanks to the optimal roof covering.

Already for the third time in the history of the company can Grammer Solar be pleased about a Solar prize:

In 2002, the single family home of our CEO Wolfgang Dotzler, has been awarded with the first prize of the German Solar Award. In 2005, the company won the 4th prize of the category “Owner or operator of systems for usage of renewable energies” with its systems on the gym of Burgweinting.

Since 1994, the German Solar Award is given every year by EUROSOLAR (European Association for Renewable Energies) to municipalities, local companies, clubs or communities, private individuals, engineers, architects, as well as to organizations that deserve to be honored because of their performance in renewable energies. Awarded are exemplary, outstanding, innovative projects and initiatives with the usage of renewable energies.
