What does a TWINSOLAR compact offer?

The efficiency of a solar collector depends on the local weather, the orientation to the sun (optimal collector alignment) and the use. The more often the sun shines during the heating period, the better the SolarAir collector can heat and ventilate, while it remains idle during the typical November fog. Depending on the climate and the use, the warm solar air can often be channelled into the building almost all year round and thus contribute to a pleasant living climat.

When in operation, a TWINSOLAR compact - installation replaces the entire room air in less than an hour!

Standard duration of a TWINSOLAR compact when installed in Germany:

  • approx. 2,000 hours per year
  • during the changing of seasons 4-10 hours per day
  • an average of 1-2 hours per day in winter
  • a few days without operating at all (too little radiation) in winter

Temperature increase in the collector:

  • directly in the sun ~ 40° C
  • with cloudy skies 4 - 10° C
  • average ~ 30° C  during the change of seasons
  • average ~ 17° C in winter

Performance

TWINSOLAR heats with up to 600 W per m² of collector surface area

Volume flow

TWINSOLAR ventilates with up to 60 m³ of fresh filtered outside air per hour and per m² of collector surface area

Temperature increase

TWINSOLAR heats the outside air up to 40°C

What you can expect from your TWINSOLAR compact :

1m² of collector surface area can keep 15m² of living space well ventilated and dry in Germany (in the south up to 30m²). Mould and damage caused by dampness become a thing of the past. During long periods of bad weather in winter, buildings only have to be additionally ventilated if the residents bring a lot of new moisture into the building when they enter it.

Furthermore, during the changing of the seasons, the collector brings enough heat into the house to ensure the conventional heating can remain switched off.

Incidence angle of the sun:

When the sun falls onto the collector at an angle, it cannot perform to its full capacity. The collector therefore always begins to intially work with less power on a bright, sunny day. The power increases until the sun is vertical to the collector and then decreases as the angle increases.

German Quality...

We have been developing and producing our SolarAir collectors in our location in Amberg, Germany to meet the highest quality standards for over 30 years. They are extremely robust, allowing them to be used over many decades.

SolarAir collectors by Grammer Solar are funded by the state in Germany, currently in old buildings with € 120 per m².
